the jayhawks with both olson and louris were incredible. the blue earth is still one of my favorite records ever. after olson left, louris simply couldn't carry the weight. new duo album is, sadlt, just ok, but I can't wait to see them together again.

sorry, robert, blue earth blows away the rest of the band's output. stick to movies. the jawhawks without olson were like the replacements without bob stinson, good but less then before.

contrary to Pete's comment above, Gary & Mark have RARELY played together since the break-up. only the past year or so, as they recorded the CD, they threw down a little here and there, such as the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park last October and a recent sold-out gig at Carnegie Hall, along with appearance on Letterman. One full Jayhawks reunion in Spain (anyone catch that? Carrie Garcia did.) and that's it. They have just started the tour and it arrives here in Big D on Friday April 17th (not 19).
