As promised, Greenville's own Ben Kweller stopped by Letterman last night to debut the song "Fight" off his upcoming album Changing Horses. The song's a little bit more country than most Kweller fans might be expecting (which has one blog poking fun already). But I kinda dig it, in that down-home sorta way.

Anyway, an interesting sidenote: Yes, that's Paul Shaffer playing piano with the band.

Anyway, not as promised, we're gonna run that Kweller Q&A tomorrow, not today. But I can promise that it will duly explain the change in sound.

I thought the song sounded terrific, better than most of his songs. However, he seemed like he had a little to much energy for the song. But, that's just me. I thought it was cool when he called Uncle Dave "buddy."
