So...it's perfectly acceptable for a Micah P. Hinson mention on Stereogum to be considered newsworthy, but you questioned a Fight Bite mention on the same website? Pete, let me break it down for you:
1. Micah P. Hinson is on a GIGANTICALLY POPULAR record label called Jade Tree. Ya know, Pedro The Lion, Alkaline Trio, My Morning Jacket, Jets To Brazil Jade Tree Records? Sound Familiar? It is actually not news at all.
2. Fight Bite was some tiny little local project that was mentioned on a couple of local blogs and then Stereogum wrote about them, so that actually was newsworthy, but your ignorant publication didn't think so. Instead, you waited until way after the fact to mention a tiny local band getting national attention in a negative light, like the jerk that you are.
So what did you do this morning, read the first press release or publicity company blanket letter and decide to run with it? Did someone finally explain to you what Stereogum is?
