The New York Times Is On To Denton.

Hey, now! The travel section of yesterday's New York Times has sweet little profile of the little d in it, and it gets all "Is Denton the Next Austin?" while namedropping a bunch of local acts and even including a media player with songs from Midlake, Sarah Jaffe, The Baptist Generals and Record Hop.

And that's all freakin' pretty cool. So, you should probably go read it. Like, five minutes ago. --Pete Freedman

Yeah, this is all well and good until we get overrun by a bunch of smelly, Yankee scenesters, at which point I have to bail from our well kept little secret. Bummer.

I dunno, Pete. I think Idolator put it best: "Wouldn't it be more shocking if Denton didn't have a band like Midlake living there?"
