Jessica Simpson Goes Country

People Magazine reports Jessica Simpson is going all Carrie Underwood on us. Simpson has headed to Nashville (hi, Matt Pulle) to begin recording, OK, wait for it, a country album. Not only that, she'll also be penning some of the songs for the album saying, "Writing is a release for me." Sort of like Pandora's Box, I imagine.
Simpson says being a country girl from Texas, country is what she listened to and was merely waiting for the right time to do it. Which thankfully will be after the playoffs. -- Rich Lopez
