A Couple's Whole Foods Romance Led to This Probably Not-Staged Proposal Video

Chivalry isn't dead. It's just lurking near the aisle with all the vegan whey products.

A video making the Internet rounds shows Vladimir Romannikov proposing to his girlfriend, Monica Dehombre, at a Whole Foods in South Florida. It's the kind of viral advertising that usually requires an illegally obtained monkey.

The two first met a year ago at the Whole Foods while they were shopping for kombucha, because nothing causes romance to ferment like live and active cultures. Dehombre was apparently so fixated on her shopping she didn't realize that Romannikov was following her through the store, trying to work up the nerve to talk to her. At the last moment, at the cash register, he turned to her and asked, "So you shop all organic, huh?" which may or may not be some kind of euphemism.

It's the kind of scenario that could be the closing scene of a romantic comedy or the opening of a horror movie. The final outcome turned out to be quite adorable.

All the best to the happy couple. It's only a matter of time now before someone releases a viral video of a pregnancy announcement in a Kroger.

WE ARE DOOMED!  We are SO lost as a society:  My daughter thinks Chipotle is good for you; my wife thinks shopping is a hobby, and the government is trying to legislate basic morality..........I thought my move to the woods would be hastened by war and famine, turns out it'll be just "dern" current irrational numbness; an affliction that destroys reason, and implies that we are, in fact, just sheep.

Three worst stories I've ever read:

3)this banal drivel.

2)a story about a sportscar in a high school parking lot.

..................................................................................................................................................................AND THE GRANDADDDY OF THEM ALL..........

1)The DMN's Jackie Floyd's rumination on love and parking in the newly opened Cowboys stadium.
