Masala Wok Opens New Location, Cementing It as the Indian-Chinese Pei-Wei

Today Masala Wok opens its fourth restaurant in the DFW area and the only one in Dallas proper, at 6106 Luther Lane. So if for some reason you're craving Chinese and/or Indian food but would rather deal with the factory-run set up of a fast food chain than go to someplace locally owned, or if you want chole masala but wish it had a more pre-packaged vibe, you can finally indulge without having to drive out to Richardson.

With the opening of the Dallas restaurant, Masala Wok, which boils India and China respectively down to "Aromatic Spices & Sizzling Stir Fry," now has 11 locations in Texas and Virginia. The fast-casual Asian menu is Pei Wei-esque, where diners choose the protein they want to put in base dishes like "Spicy Basil" and "Goan Vindaloo." Replace tofu with paneer then offer lamb in half the dishes and the model is pretty much the same thing.

The opening was announced via a press release, which explains that Masala Wok is for "consumers who engage and experience life," though presumably its pretty hard for a consumer not experiencing life to put in an order for Kung Pao paneer. Whether you're dead or alive though, the more to-go vegetarian options are always a good thing.

Hours are Sunday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
