Miss Chi, the New Vietnamese Spot from the Folks Behind Tanoshi Ramen, Opens Wednesday

For a couple weeks, all we knew about Miss Chi is that it was coming. The signs of its arrival were all there, specifically an actual sign with the name of the restaurant and a couple posts about it on the Facebook page for Tanoshi Ramen. Since then we've been waiting for more word about the latest endeavor from Joey and Chi Le, the couple behind Tanoshi Ramen in Deep Ellum and Wicked Po'boys and Seafood in Richardson (we tried reading tea leaves but all we had was bubble tea, so, eh).

Today the Les announced that Miss Chi will open for lunch and dinner on November 20 in Preston Center.

The menu will feature Vietnamese restaurant staples like pho and bahn mi (with additional over easy egg), and more traditional dishes like spicy beef noodle soup, braised pork belly and egg and the salt and pepper prawns shown above. The menu will also be heavy on specialty cocktails made from herbs, juices and "unexpected ingredients" (more prawns maybe?).

Miss Chi will also feature in-house desserts and pastries. Hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
