UPDATED: Green House Market Has Set Down Roots at NorthPark, and Opens Next Week
UPDATE: According to a spokeswoman the opening has been pushed back to mid-November, firm date coming.
Spooky. But also healthy.
Vegetable matter is a precious commodity when it comes to takeout and fast food. So the Green House food truck, even if it left Carnivore-in-Chief Alice wanting a little something more, was a welcome addition to Dallas street fare. Starting next month, the folks behind green and white truck will be dishing up even more healthful food at their new non-mobile location in NorthPark Center.
Green House Market will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner starting November 1, just in time for you to flush all that Halloween candy out of your system with bushels of roughage. Chef Ben Hutchison, moving from the truck to executive chef of the new location, is keeping favorites like stir-fried brown rice bowls and grilled ciabatta sandwiches and adding more complicated items like seared tuna loin with citrus aioli and microgreens, sprouted quinoa tabouli and flourless lemon-almond cake.
The NorthPark location will boast seating for 72 people, minimalist green and white design (keeping with the truck's aesthetic), wifi and a rotating art program of local and international artists. Plus it's right next to the AMC Theater, so you can load up on curried pumpkin soup instead of styrofoamy popcorn when you catch Ender's Game.
