Before you head over to the Brewfest this weekend, you might want to check out the Global Street Feast in the Harwood District from noon to 7 p.m Saturday. The multicultural affair will have a variety of food truck vendors, along with Twister on the grass and huge Yahtzee game, which means you can be as obnoxious as you've always wanted to be if you actually roll a Yahtzee.

The Harwood District is a 17-block area with restaurants, bars, businesses and museums. In total, the Harwood District people say it includes more than seven million square feet of condos, offices, retail and residential developments over a 17-block area, all nestled between Maple Avenue and Harry Hines Boulevard at Cedar Springs Road.

The core of the district, or "campus," has three restaurants: Mercat Bistro, Saint Ann Restaurant and Bar and Marie Gabrielle.

This first Global Street Feast will feature food trucks that represent flavors from around the globe: Taste of Cuba, Salsa Limon, Gorgonzilla (European cheeses), the Little Greek Food Truck, Ssahm BBQ (kimchee fries!), Mr. Snowie and Bobaddiction, with Taiwanese boba tea creations.

And, Sweetie V's will be there with a Creole mac-n-cheese with Jamaican spices. That might need some further investigation.

Saint Ann Restaurant and Bar will have some booze on hand should you get parched, and Mercat Bistro will serve beer and wine from France, Ireland and Spain.

Parking is across from Saint Ann at 2501 N. Harwood St.

So it'll be ending right around the time being outside gets tolerable in Dallas in August.  Great concept, dreadful execution.  Pass.
