Full Circle Tavern Opens on Lamar, Offering a Shady Spot for Local Beer and Badass Burgers

A cool picture from Full Circle Tavern's Facebook page. Dogs can get a cool sip of water out on the patio.
Full Circle Tavern (1319 S. Lamar St.) is a new restaurant and bar now open on South Lamar, brought to you by Jennifer Bonner and Lara Whittington of EdiblEnvy Catering. This spot offers a tree shaded wrap around deck, plenty of local beer and a badass burger made with two half-pound patties, french fries, a fried egg, bacon and fried cheese curds. Hungry?

This new spot shares a wall with Bill's Records and the patio faces the NYLO Hotel to the East. One side of the restaurant has large glass garage-like doors that open onto the patio, where dogs can obviously chill.

The menu has touches of comfort food from across the country (poutine, cheese curds, fried pickled okra) plus a few healthier options. Funny how those two are never one-in-the-same. We never seek comfort in a salad with a light dressing.

The "house favorite" is an Italian Stallion with slow roasted beef with provolone, au jus ($10.95). The Oktoberfest has Franconia Wheat drunken sausage topped with beer brined sauerkraut, jalapeño relish and Dijon spread on a pretzel roll ($10.95). The Jacque po-boy has three crab cakes on a French roll and a spicy remoulade ($12.95). Plus house-made chips for every table.

There are made-to-order burgers and a fancy grilled cheese with cheddar, goat and provolone on Texas toast.

The name Full Circle is an ode to the idea that everything happens for a reason. Whittington puts it as "all experiences lead to the next, or at the very least, prepare you for what's ahead."

The full bar will serve craft and micro brews, with many local options. But, no bottles, only cans. FTC is open every day but Monday.

What is the deal with these restaurants that have Facebook pages that don't have their menus;  it seems to be a trend...................and the Facebook page always seems like it is for people with ADD....
