This Friday March, 1 the Addison location of popular chain The Melting Pot announced its permanent closure. A news release blames "financial reasons independent of the business that prevent the current franchisees from continuing to operate the restaurant."

Approximately 35 employees were notified of the closure before the news release went out, however hundreds of high school romantics are still scrambling to find a new date-night spot for special occasions.

Front Burner Brands, headquartered in Tampa, Florida, owns 145 144 locations of the popular fondue restaurant, Burger 21 and GrillSmith restaurants. The Addison location opened in 1995.

Snuffers has filed for bankruptcy protection. Proceed to panic.

@Scruffygeist Bankruptcy isn't the biggest deal. It just keeps Mr. Snuffer's debt collectors from suing him. He's still operating all his restaurants.
