If I hadn't recently reviewed Ellen's Southern Kitchen, which took over the defunct Heart Attack Grill space, I might not have written about the H.A.G. ever again. It's hard to believe the temple to excess is still in the news at all. Unless, of course, more people die while eating burgers in the restaurant, which is what happened in the Vegas location last week.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, John Alleman is the second unofficial spokesman for the Heart Attack Grill to die in the line of duty. The man suffered a heart attack as he waited at the bus stop in front of the restaurant. Blair River died in the spring of 2011, at the age of 29, from pneumonia aggravated by obesity after being featured in many of the restaurants commercials.

And there's no end in sight. Owner Jon Basso said the restaurant will have a new spokesman or woman when they find someone with as much passion for burgers as Alleman.
