Centennial Announces Huge Liquidation Sale, Probably Not Good News For the Company

Well, the writing was on the sober and empty shelves. For weeks now, all Centennial liquor stores have been apparently dying a slow death. According to the TABC website, all of their stores are listed in delinquency, which automatically stops all deliveries, which meant pickings got slim real quick at local stores.

Today the corporate website announces an inventory liquidation December 13, 14 and 15 at all CBG locations, with up to 50 percent off and "everything must go!"

This also includes the Centennial warehouse at 10410 Finnell St. in Dallas, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Centennial Beverage Group includes Big Daddy's, Centennial and Majestic, which includes 25 stores locally. From the Centennial Facebook page:

Moving Sale - 2 Days Only We are moving warehouses and marking everything down for liquidation. We would like you to receive the discount, rather than us move it. Get up to 50% off all spirits, beer and wine. Case quantities, craft beers, Bordeaux's - do a little treasure hunting. This Friday and Saturday Only, December 14th and 15th, 10 am to 6 pm, 10410 Finnell Street, Dallas TX 75220.

I've placed a call to Centennial and will update if I hear back.

Very disapointing.  I was focused soley on the specialty beers, nothing was really more than 10-15% off.  that made it ALMOST as cheap as Specs.  Dont waste your time.

In other words, they are matching Spec's and Total Wine's prices for a weekend.

No wonder that handle of Seagrams jumped 25% at Sigel's.

Good for them.  Maybe they should have concentrated on innovation instead of lawsuits to keep me from buying beer in my grocery store.

The Centennials in the surrounding towns have been closing down since early 2011. The three in the DeSoto/Lancaster area are down.

Remember, it says "up to 50%"...They aren't selling Crown XR for $75 a bottle. LOL!

UP TO 50%.  i saw 1 thing that was 50% off.  a bottle of Cross Keys rum marked from $20ish to $10ish.  most everything is only 10-20% off.
