Remember Movember? You should. No, you really should. It was the month-long directive to grow or groom a moustache as way to promote men's health and cancer awareness. Hotel ZaZa is hosting an End of Movember Celebration. They're going with a western theme, so fashion your moustache accordingly. Plus, The Gents Places will be there also to wack that crazy thing off our face, should you require the attention of a barber. Tickets are $20 online or at the door. All proceeds will benefit Movember.

Road Trip: Saturday and Sunday, December 1 and 2
The 39th annual Dickens on the Strand is this weekend in Galveston. In addition to all the brooding merriment inherent for a Dicken's affair, on Friday and Saturday night there's a "Dinner with Dickens" with author Lucinda Dickens Hawksley, the great-great-great-great granddaughter of Charles Dickens at the Ashton Villa, a Victorian mansion.

Wednesday, December 5
The Gin Mill Winter Beer Dinner next Wednesday will feature Franconia and Stone Brewing Company beer. The menu includes "roasted bock braised" crispy duck wings and Franconia Dunkel ice cream with house-made bourbon brownies. Reservations are highly recommended. Call 214.824.3343.

Saturday, December 8
This is still a week away, but Deep Ellum Brewing Company is teaming up with Deep Eddy Vodka for the inaugural Reindeer Games Pub-Crawl, hosted by Crawl for Kids. Proceeds will benefit Raise the Arts, a community initiative designed to resource under-funded schools. Specifically this event will help buy supplies for the Martin Luther King Jr. Learning Center in south Dallas.

Since it's Christmas, they ask you dress the part. You'll want to gather a team, preferably of five people who will be given the task of going to five different bars to drink two pitchers of beer and "a different Reindeer Game will be assigned at each bar."

The nine stop pub-crawl starts at 2:00 p.m. on December 8 and cost $40 per person ($200 per team), which includes the two pitchers of beer per stop, a commemorative glass and other hoopla. We tell you this now because if you enter the promo code "DEBC" through the end of the week, you'll receive a 50% discount.
