Cool weather is upon us, and the weekend is here. If you don't have weekend plans, check out LDD's weekly food guide. Or if you're feeling lazy you could just drink a ton of beer. We've got the guide to everything North Texas has to offer in the suds department. Don't crack that bottle yet, though. We have a week to wrap up.

This week I reviewed Boulevardier, the new Oak Cliff bistro that's getting a ton of attention lately. I think it's a promising spot, but they still have some work to do. For now stick to the oysters, simple plates and that stellar burger they cook on a wood fired grill.

We also put up a post to prepare for burger week. If you haven't commented with your favorites, do so soon. We'll be compiling the best and determining Dallas' finest through a series of smackdowns that promise to ruin our waistlines.

Need lunch plans? We have a list of some great ones here. And if you're only concerned about gooey sandwiches, then you get your very own special list, here.

Over on the Eats Blog, Leslie Brenner reviewed Park Tavern awarding two stars and noting their exemplary burger. Looks like we've got another one to take a close look at. She's also got a first look at the super-hyped FT-33.

José discovered some interesting carnitas over on the Taco Trail. He calls them a thing of taco beauty and claims they are the real deal. Looks like it's time for an excursion.

Tired of elotes? Try esquites. The Meaning of Pie has everything you need to know to make your own.

That's about all I see this week. Make sure you come back next week, when we'll take a close look at some gourmet sandwiches, whip up a batch of meatballs Julian Barsotti style and more.
