Meh. All of these beers are available around here. Are there any rare tappings?

$30 for 12 2-oz. tastings.   That is $15 per beer.    What in the fuck are you people thinking?  The aforementioned Oregon Brewfest?  $5 entry, they give you a bigass MUG, and the fills are cheap.

This is shockingly slipshod.

I suggest more than 250 beers--barely enough for a small band at a 2 hour gig, unless the beer is served in dentist office paper cups.

@texasbrewnette @cityofate @DallasBrewScene @PlanoCraftBeer That's a good list!

I think it's a little sketchy and misleading that you would include the names of over 25 breweries in this list of BEERS that will be on tap. Hell, you have Tona Beer in there twice. And why list out some breweries beers but then just say "Shiner Beers?" I'm sure if you actually had a running list of the beers that would be provided at Brewfest, this list could easily dwarf what's listed without having to pad it out.

I'm really not trying to be a dick, but when I first saw this list in last week's Observer and saw how it was laid out, it was really off-putting, especially considering how the very recent Untapped Festival ( or Oregon Brewers Fest ( make it pretty clear what kind of beer they're going to have from who.

 @steve.sandwich You can thank the TABC for the 24-oz. limit on free samples. That's also why extra sample cards are so cheap...they still have to charge SOMETHING for the extra beer. Ain't their fault.

@BeneKeith_Bevs @texasbrewnette @cityofate @DallasBrewScene Is there really a BEK tap wall? What's pouring?

I've updated the list to make it clearer, by brewery

 @monstruss Have to agree with Monstruss here.  This List looks absolutely sketchy,.  Anheuser-busch is listed as a beer offering.  This looks more like a cut and paste of BEK's catalog than an actual list of what is going to be available for beer nerds on draft.  And Bud Lite Lime-a-Rita?   Come on, who do you expect to take you seriously as a brewfest if you've agreed to carry those types of products?  Sounds like another group trying to capitalize on the "trend" of craft beer without actually knowing what they're getting involved in.

 @monstruss Thanks for checking that out--I'll make it a little clearer. The list does have a number of repeats. Stay tuned.

 @monstruss Careful, I'm fairly certain the majority of these beers will be in a bottle, not on tap.  There was mention of a BEK tap wall last week which implies some draught offerings, but beyond the locals who don't bottle I wouldn't get your hopes up for much else.  Otherwise I have to wonder, is this list even updated?  There are still no listings for Deep Ellum, Peticolas or Lakewood.

@PlanoCraftBeer @texasbrewnette @cityofate @DallasBrewScene Here's a list of what's on our tap wall and a list of everything we have at DBF

 @nick.rallo updated list looks great, makes it really clear who's going to be there and what they're bringing!

 @nick.rallo Cool. Again, I'm not trying to be a dick; I generally love and support the Dallas Observer, and I just want to see this beer festival be a successful event. People are really into craft beer these days, and good organization can make a world of difference between a good festival (Untapped, Big Texas Beer Festival) and a REALLY CRAPPY festival (Austin Beer Fest)

 @bdabg By "on tap," I suppose I mean "available for consumption."

@cityofate @planocraftbeer @benekeith_bevs @texasbrewnette @dallasbrewscene LBC is pouring Rock Ryder, Hop Trapp & Temptress...just FYI

 @monstruss  @bdabg Peticolas said on FB he was bringing Royal Scandal, Golden Opportunity and Velvet Hammer.  Haven't seen anything from LBC or DEBC.
