Scenes from BrewFest this Saturday (yes, we're visionary).
BrewFest
If the Untapped festival whetted your whistle for good beer amongst great friends in a festive setting, then you should make haste to the Arts District this Saturday for our very own BrewFest. Highlights, with the exception of impromptu shenanigans (which we'll have pictures of Monday morning), include 150 beers to sample and live music.

Dos Equis Most Interesting Free Lunch
The Most Interesting Man in the World will take over the Nammi food truck September 12- 22. And, sticking to the theme of mysterious, highbrow stylings, the food will test your adventurous side. Ever had jellyfish? Yeah, they figured you hadn't either. Probably on account of you've never really wanted it. That's why it's free. Color outside your culinary lines this week and track down the Dos Equis truck. Here's Nammi's schedule (see "Nammi 2").

The Dallas Opera's Brownbag Concert Series
Hoof it down to AT&T Performing Arts Center for a free recital under the canopy at the Winspear at noon today (Wednesday). Food trucks will be on hand to provide gourmet grub, or if you're in more of a simple PB&J mood, that'll do too. This week features SMU vocal performance masters student Coretta Smith.

Bolsa Meat & Eat, Pig Roast
Bolsa Mercado is hosting a family-style dinner at 7:30 p.m. Friday This is the last in a series of these events, so they're going whole hog. This little roasted piggie comes from Eden's Creek Farm. The five-course meal will be served around their large communal table. There's a wine tasting, and tax and gratuity are included for $75 per person. Call 214-942-0451 or email contact@bolsadallas.com.

Seek out Hop Seeker
A few weeks ago we told you about Deep Ellum Brewing Company's farm-to-pint style brewing using wet Centennial hops that were picked and immediately flown in from Indie Hops in Oregon. Well soup's on, kiddos. Hop Seeker (8 percent ABV, 55 IBUs, American Strong Ale) is best served fresh, so make haste and have a pint at one of many friendly bars around town, including the Common Table, Double Wide, Angry Dog. The list goes on.
