Start Restaurant on Greenville Hopes to Start in Early August

Start
Start Restaurant at 4814 Greenville, neighbor to Desporados Mexican Restaurant, is a new upscale fast-casual restaurant set to open the first week of August.

The concept is healthy food, made with pure ingredients, quickly. So you can hit the drive- thru, and feel good about it afterwards.

Some menu items include from-scratch Mediterranean salad with quinoa; applewood smoked bacon grass-fed beef burger on a toasted wheat or gluten free bun; organic egg whites for breakfast served over vegetables on a toasted whole wheat English muffin. Almost every ingredient has "organic" or the like attached to it.

All washed down with organic beer or fair trade coffee (inside only, of course). They also have fresh juices, like a Tomato Kick Start and Go Go Juice made with spinach, carrot, apple and ginger.

Vendors include Burgundy Pastures, the North Dallas Honey Company, Stonyfield Organic, Applegate Farms, Organic Valley, and Food for Life, maker of Ezekiel sprouted grain bread.

We'll keep you posted on the opening.

Good restaurant with poor service and shortage of parking spots. A lady with a baby stood in the parking lot saving the spot for her friend . Very aggravating when there is no other spot on sight When we complained about it looks like the manager didn't even care or the guy never told his manager.

I think the name is very clever. This is what America needs..a start to healthier fast food choices.

Dallas Proto-chain overly slick concept. No real love of food. BUT I give them huge props for trying to user local high quality stuff

Well it's a stupid name. But I think this is a very important type of restaurant for Dallas. It might not be the best food in the world, but this kind of market over-saturation with healthy/organic/real type of foods is a good thing. It only leads to more recognition and more demand by consumers. I know we'll never be like areas of San Francisco, NYC, Seattle or whatever; but these types of places are all over there. It only leads to more options and people eating a bit better. If it's fast and/or convenient, then great.
