MoMo's Pasta is Moving to the Quad
MoMo's Pasta. It's a classic red-sauce-two-location-family-owned Italian joint. They serve lunch and dinner daily, with brunch on weekends featuring 99-cent mimosas. Prices are reasonable and you can dine in or get your MoMo delivered. It's the type of place with lots of regulars. There is just one problem: the Knox location is rarely busy.
foodbitch If this photo makes you dizzy, it's because I was trying not to slip on the freshly mopped floor.
Well, after over 20 years on Knox, it's time for a change for MoMo. Its website has the following note:
Dear Loyal Customers, Our Dallas (Knox) location will be relocated to the Quadrangle opening its doors at the new location starting mid to end of July. Knox location will be open to the end of June including Saturday the 30th. Please check again for pictures from the new location as we prepare to offer you the same quality food you have been receiving for more then 20 years. Thank you for your patience.
Well, I strolled into the new location in the Quadrangle (Can we go ahead and call it The Quad? Good.), and saw that they're making it into a space Scott Reitz would feel good about. It has the paintings of Carbone's with that rich leather seating Reitz craves in an Italian joint. Mod chandeliers, intricate mosaic tile, stonework and dark wood floors are Italian-sexy.
The long-empty space formerly held Margarita Ranch, and prior to that Martini Ranch. Its certainly not a better location than Knox. Its visibility, outside of the plethora of Quadrangle worker bees or your everyday Dream Café diners, is limited. They'll need to work to get the word out about their new spot.
MoMo's will be open in The Quad starting next Wednesday.
