Mike Huckabee Calls for Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day

Citing "intolerant bigotry from the left," former Arkansas governor and candidate in the 2008 republican presidential primaries, Mike Huckabee, has called for a "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" on August 1.

Last week we reported on Chick-fil-A's president Dan Cathy's interview where he condemned same-sex marriage.

From Huckabee's Facebook page:

"The goal is simple: Let's affirm a business that operates on Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for the Godly values we espouse by simply showing up and eating at Chick Fil-A on Wednesday, August 1. Too often, those on the left make corporate statements to show support for same sex marriage, abortion, or profanity, but if Christians affirm traditional values, we're considered homophobic, fundamentalists, hate-mongers, and intolerant. This effort is not being launched by the Chick Fil-A company and no one from the company or family is involved in proposing or promoting it."

The invite is on Facebook. At about 11:30 a.m. CST, about 38,000 are "going."

Just think: If he would have been president, we probably could have all gotten a box of nuggets with a side wrath and judgment for free (Presidents can do that, right?).

why cant a business built on christian principles not br allowed to stand on them. it isnt bigoted or is it judgement against anyones lifestyle,but no different than the gays & lesbians voicing their lifestyles. be as tolerant as you want to be tolerated
