Green Grocer, an Independent Specialty Grocer, is Moving to Lower Greenville
Green Grocer, a Chicago-based specialty-grocer, announced today it's opening a second location (and first outside of Chicago) at 3614 Greenville Ave.

The 4,000-square-foot retail space is five blocks south of Mockingbird Lane across from Café Izmir. Green Grocer is a one-stop specialty market for everyday grocery goods and locally produced, organic products. The focus is on small, independent vendors. They expect to open late this summer or early in the fall.
Gary Stephens and Cassie Green opened the original Chicago store in 2008 as a small neighborhood spot to grab healthy ingredients for lunch or dinner. Their Dallas store will be unique with products and vendors from this area, but the concept is the same. The reviews for the store on the west side of Chicago are great.
They've already established a relationship with Artizone, should you want to have the goods at their store delivered.
Eventually they'll work in a produce box program (CSA-ish), but not at first.
Green Grocer is the third grocery store to announce plans for Lower Greenville this year, including a new Trader Joe's at the old Arcadia spot and Walmart Neighborhood Market just across the street from it. Both of which are under construction less than a mile south of Green Grocer.
