100 Favorite Dishes, No. 69: Bolognese At Princi Italia

While Princi Italia failed to inspire me with many of their dishes, this Bolognese captured all my senses. I ate it on one of those first cool, relaxing fall days out on the patio with the warm sun at my back.

The scent of nutmeg faintly called out from the rich and hearty ragu tossed with fresh slippery tagliatelle. It was rich and meaty, but not at all oily and went perfectly with a glass of pinot and an arugula salad. And in a city where restaurant music is consistently terrible, Beirut poured from the outdoor speakers at the perfect volume. It was good enough to make my top 10 food memories of last year list.
