Last year, in an open letter to Taco Bell, we politely pointed out that it would conquer Earth and neighboring planets if it went national with the taco shell made entirely of Nacho Cheese Doritos (mostly because we wanted one).

Well: hot, hot news everyone. Yesterday, Foodbeast reported that they are coming. And with purpose: Gizmodo tells us that Taco Bell has a Fort Knoxian reserve of over 85 million taco shells made of Doritos.

It gets so, so much better: a Cool Ranch flavored taco shell might follow closely behind it. It's a good time in America.

Update 4:15 p.m.: Taco Bell's website proclaims the good news with a ridiculous countdown. The Nacho Cheese Doritos shell will be available March 8.
