Off-Site Kitchen Opens ... Finally

The regular cheese burger with bacon.
I don't usually get into making predictions, but this one's just too easy. Off-Site Kitchen, the new breakfast-and-lunch spot from the Neighborhood Services group, opened today, and word is getting out fast. They don't have many seats inside, maybe eight or nine stools, but they've got loads of patio seating outside. It's supposed to hit 74 degrees tomorrow after some a.m. thunderstorms. And the restaurant in question serves what is almost certainly Dallas' best $3.50 burger.

What does all of this add up to?

Off-Site Kitchen (2226 Irving Blvd.) is going to be an absolute shit show tomorrow. And the line at a popular Maple Avenue burger joint will be getting a little shorter.

Went there yesterday. Amazing burger. Guys are really friendly and know how to make a killer burger. The bun was amazing too, Village Baking was all over the menu - these guys rock, had some of their bread at Bolsa Mercado. Great combo for great food. Will absolutley be going back!

Want to check this place out. Went to Uncle Ubers on Commerce Street today and had one of thier burgers. It was awesome - certainly rates among the best in the city.

Went there for lunch today. The Brough Ham Fleetwood is a bomb, their crispy taco is out of this world, and the individual pies (today was cherry and pecan) are a steal.

And the friendliest group of people you will ever have serve you food.

Another reason to go: there's a hot dog with pork rinds on it.

I agree. I was wondering how come there has been no comments yet from Jack Ass? I figured he and his Yankee, ass tonging buddy Donny McDermott would be all over this. Good luck to these guys at Off-Site.

You're onto something with "Spork" little buddy, trademark that shit immediately.  I've got my foodtruck bidness plan coming together..methinks: "Truck" is solid.

They really gotta come up with less institutional-sounding names.

Neighborhood Services sounds like where high schoolers can get free birth control.

Off-Site Kitchen sounds like it's part of DISD's food service.

Even that would have been a better name than Off-Site Kitchen.

Holy shit. The Weinerman in FtW makes one with Lay's, but chicharones? I may call in sick tomorrow so I can be in Dallas for lunch.

All burger places abide by a stool-to-stoolreceptacle ratio. There are 4 stools at Maple Motor and 1.25 terlits, thus the burger stand stool-to-stoolreceptacle ratio in this part of town is 3.2:1. Thus, there are roughly 2.8 terlits at Off-Site Kitchen. *drops mic*

The whole point of the names is that Nick's father was an architect or a city planner or something and so he remembers all the technical zoning terms of the the places where various businesses were to be located. "Neighborhood services" included restaurants and a small variety of other things like dry cleaning, etc. "off-site kitchen" refers to a place that prepares food for catering or other mobile-vendors based businesses.

I think I drove one of my high school girlfriends to Neighborhood services once or twice..off of Park Row or Abrams?

My arteries have long since clogged. They look like Olive Garden Breadsticks now.
