The Ginger Man Threw a Food Truck Rally Over the Weekend, and This is What You Missed

Food truck fiesta!
The Ginger Man hosted a "Taste of Dallas" food-truck throwdown on Saturday, featuring six local food trucks: Nammi, Jack's Chowhound, 3 Men and a Taco, Gandolfo's, The Butcher's Son, and Easy Slider. It was a balmy Saturday afternoon, and hundreds of people came out to grub and throw back a few brews under the sun.

The Ginger Man kept its back gate open so patrons could come and go between the food and the drink with ease -- a beautiful symbiosis. Here's a visual sample of the festivities.

The Classic and The Black and Blue from Easy Slider
The Classic (left) had cheddar, lettuce, onion and tomato. The Black and Blue (right) topped the beef patty with blue cheese slaw and bacon, both skewered with a cornichon on top.

Pieces of marinated grilled pork on a 12-inch baguette slathered with garlic mayonnaise, topped with fresh cucumber, pickled carrots and daikon radish, jalapenos, and cilantro.

Turkey, ham, roast beef, and provolone, with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise, but I think this guy was going Atkin's. All served up on a pillowy hero roll.
