"Soon" apparently meant January 2.
As of January 2, the strip mall at Northwest Highway and Hillcrest, on the northern edge of Preston Hollow, has another has another fast-casual food option: Mimi's "New York-style" pizza. The small storefront near El Fenix and Mooyah Burger, a spin-off of the Joe's Pizza and Pasta chain, has been under construction since at least August, when I wandered by on my way to stuff something else in the front of my head.

From the press release:

mimislogo.jpg
The bring-your-own-beer-and-wine eatery, which opened on January 2, will feature not only pizza by the slice, but also appetizers, homemade pastas and calzones, hot and cold subs and salads with Mimi's famous house dressing. An emphasis on fresh ingredients and detailed attention to service and experience is what Mimi's is paying careful attention to, ensuring customers a dining experience that will warrant many returned visits. ...

Aside from an appealing lunch and dinner menu, Mimi's Pizzeria will also feature several high-definition flat screen televisions, video games and an open layout, encouraging diners and bring-your-own-beer-and-wine drinkers alike to enjoy the venue for their favorite sporting events or as a stopping point for any "night out in Dallas."

I live so close to this place I can't decide whether I want it to be good (for deliciousness reasons) or terrible (for me-becoming-an-even-fatter-fat-ass reasons.) I'll report back with a verdict next week.

Joe's is awesome!  Good pizza, great Calzone's, excellent pasta, good service.  Too bad Mimi's is at NWH and Hillcrest; my heart starts to palpitate, and I get diarrhea when I go south of 190.   I'll leave this to the hipsters and tollway dipsh+ts.

Just stay north of 190 where neighborhoods don't matter.

Dear Leon,   Where is the synopsis of North America sir?

I prefer west of loop 12 where when douches go hunting, they did it in packs of 1, instead of in schools of 50.  They are much more tolerable that way

Yep, I hate being where it's clean and safe and I can park anywhere I damn well please.

Let me translate

 - anyplace that is not antiseptic = the bums puking and shitting on tree's

-the shitty schools! = Non -whites in schools

 - New = clean, old = dirty - urban decay, and a city that hasn't been fixed in 50 years?

 - may hurt the wheels on my suburban = -potholes the size of Rhode Island?

I have teenage kids who get all A's and B's in a suburban school because of where my babymama lives, but they both want to go to the magnet schools downtown. They go to concerts in deep ellum, they go to the DMA, they buy their music at CD source and Good records, they buy thier clothes as St. Vinnie's and H&M, they eat in East Dallas and Oak Cliff. They prefer the square in Denton to the mall at stonebtair.

"Metrosexual" is a 15 year old meme about clothing style, not where one likes to live.

 I'm a graduate of UT.

Gangs don't really chase big guys, or even white suburbanites. They mostly prey on each other, but you can hang on to your fear tightly if it gets you through the night.

You'll have to link me to your website that tracks points you hand out, because I can't find it on Google.

Let me translate-

-the bums puking and shitting on tree's-me likey?-the shitty schools!-urban decay, and a city that hasn't been fixed in 50 years?-potholes the size of Rhode Island?

ps-if'n you had kids, and weren't Metrosexual, they would hate you because they only got an 8th grade education, and are being chased down Walnut Hill by gangs.  Sounds fun, you dipshit! And you talk about asphalt (spoken like Rodney Dangerfield)?  Wasteland?  You are making even less valid points than normal. Have you been drinking?  And smoking meth?

Ruling; the points that you mentioned are worthless, watery and you are awarded zero points.

Let me translate - Clean = shitty, boring, bland strip centers and house farms in newish x-urb areas that are not old enough to show the shoddy build quality yet.

Safe = no non-whites.

Park Anywhere = acres of overheated, treeless, asphalt in front of monotonous, chain filed strip centers and big box stores, designed to cater to fat assed suburbanites in their huge gas guzzling SUVs.

This is the Dallas Suburban dream - safe, clean, lots of parking in a soul sucking x-urb. Mark my words - all your kids you are raising in this wasteland will hate you for it. The smart ones will get out and never come back, and you will be left with generations of the dull, bland, fearful idiocacy.

"Northwest Highway and Hillcrest, on the northern edge of Preston Hollow."

That intersection is not even close to Preston Hollow, which is bounded by Preston/Inwood/Walnut Hill/ Northwest Highway. It certainly is NOT on the northern edge of anything except University Park.

You are mistaken.  Preston Hollow is vaguely defined but it definitely includes the corner of Northwest Highway and Hillcrest.  Preston Hollow extends much farther north than walnut Hill.  The "Preston Hollow Country Club" was at Hillcrest and Forest, where the Lake Forest gated community is now.  Even the Preston Hollow School is north of Walnut Hill.  I don't know where people get these ideas.

I actually meant the northern edge of University Park, or maybe the southern edge of Preston Hollow. Either one would have been right, and what I had was super wrong. I'll fix it. Maybe.

dont fix it.  I like neighborhood warfare, Its fun to watch locals drop bombs on each other over an address

Who cares Lee?  I think we all know where NWH and Hillcrest is.  Thanks for the synopsis of Dallas' neighborhoods.  Next, can you break down which area's of town the Trinity goes through.  Start with where it starts south of Gainesville, and please include a detailed report of where it goes through the Lewisville Dam, etc.  Thank you!

Also, could you do a detailed report of the geographical regions of the US.  Please include a brief summation of how the South ends west of Lake Lavon, and how the West begins in the "scrublands" of West Plano.  Thank you.

I just want a detailed report of each "fork" of the Trinity river, I really familiar with the Elm fork as I was a fighting farmer in HS!
