Anthony Bourdain's Playlist: Sippin' on Gin and Juice, and That Better Be Fresh-Squeezed

Anthony Bourdain recently created an iTunes Celebrity Playlist. And what does a playlist say about a person? Everything. It's their soul on paper.

Bourdain isn't necessarily shy though, case evidence being his current media scuffle with Paula Deen. So it's no surprise that the unruly Ramones headline the list and Iggy Pop makes two appearances. "Monster" and "Gin and Juice" were a bit of a surprise at first, but then fits in with his badass shtick. About the latter, he writes, "I can't drive down a street on the West Coast with the top down without thinking about this tune." And the dark, beastly "Monster"? Reminds him of meat. Of course.

Below is Bourdain's list in full.

1. "Beat on the Brat" by Ramones: "A great song by a great New York band that could have come from nowhere else."

2. "Anemone" by The Brian Jonestown Massacre: "A sad, evocative, and brilliant song about (I think) betrayal and disappointment."

3. "La Decima Vittima (Main Title)" by Piero Piccino: "The kookiest, catchiest, kitschiest score ever from the insane (and fun) '60's Italian satire The 10th Victim. We try to rip it off all the time for No Reservations."

4. "Two Against One (feat. Jack White)" by Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi: "Danger Mouse? Jack White? Norah Jones? In a cheesy/wonderful homage to soundtracks to Italian films that never existed? YES!"

5. "Wedding Dress" by Mark Lanegan: "He's not a New York artist, but it's a great, great song that fits right in with memories of my New York past."

6. "Penetration" by Iggy & The Stooges: "Cause it's arguably the best Stooges song ever."

7. "Gin and Juice" by Snoop Dogg & Dat Nigga Daz: "I can't drive down a street on the West Coast with the top down without thinking about this tune."

8. "Black" by Pearl Jam: "Heartbreak again. More heartbreaking doesn't exist."

9. "Main Theme - Carter Takes a Train" by Roy Budd: "This track from the best, most uncompromisingly brutal gangster flick ever just fits with driving or moving in any part of England."

10. "Monster" by Kanye West, Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj & Bon Iver: "I'm thinking about Martin Picard here, and the Joe Beef guys. You'd BETTER keep your hands on the counter in Montreal."

11. "World in My Eyes" by Depeche Mode: "This reminds me of Hong Kong, where I always feel very far away."

12. "Kill City" by Iggy Pop & Jameson Williamson: "About Iggy's bad old days in L.A."

13. "Bullitt, Main Title (Movie Version)" by Lalo Schifrin: "I can't get away from this movie in San Francisco. I never grew up. So sue me."

My friend Tony told me about this single mom that made $4164 in a few weeks on the computer. All she did was work for a few hours a day online. You can see how she did it here lazycash29.com

I'm kind of let down at #10. Kanye West is the douchiest douche bag that was ever douched. He out douches Billy Joel Burdaine has refereed to as a douche in the past.

People who can't spell shouldn't bother writing snarky bullshit in the comments section.

Bourdain doesn't smoke any more except for weed. But he does drink two beers for breakfast.

Bourdain is French-correct?  Never trust a defeated culture. Anyone that hides tail and run will sneeze in yer food-jes sayin'.

My problem with Paula is this....She's had it for roughly 3 years, that's horrible, i am sorry for her health. She continued cooking, but probably not eating her style of food, I am still somewhat ok with that, since that is what made her what she is.

My problem has to do with waiting until she had a DEAL with a drug firm and a plan to be their spokesperson before telling her employer that she is diabetic. That tells me that she is a gluton of both food and money.

Since the queen of whoring out has been mentioned, where's the post on Paula Deen finally admitting she has type 2 diabetes (and has had it for awhile) and endorsing a diabetes drug while still slapping her name on anything and everything she can, healthy or not?

Should it really be her employer's business if she's diabetic, though, as long as it didn't require special accommodation for her to keep doing her job?

Paula hid her diabetes and promoted fatty foods. Bourdain is upfront about his vices.

And Mrs Pags, what have you been taking all day, as it looks to be much more efficacious than smoking and drinking, even all day and daily?

Hmmm... comm,ent.. Pauls... galss.. through.. occation...not sure you should be commenting, methinks you may be late to remedial vocabulary class at Dallas Can.

Bourdain is right to call out Pauls, all she cooks on her show is heart attacks on a plate.  (Although I've partaked in lunch at her restaurant and it was great)

I may on occasion misspell a word and forget punctuation, but that was an abortion of a comment.
