Amidst his stops at Dallas' well loved "dives," Guy Fieri and his Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives crew filmed at the Middle Eastern restaurant Afrah in Richardson last week.

Brothers Ayad, Youssef and Nabil El-horr, who co-own and manage the restaurant together, initially opened Afrah just as a sweet shop back in 2002, but it quickly developed into a full-service restaurant with a menu based on their mother's Southern Lebanese recipes.

I spoke with Ayad today. He told me that next year, Afra will move into a new space just 50 feet away from their current location. It will be three times as big -- and they may need the extra space after the show airs. They are also plan to open a Middle Eastern grocery store next door.

Regulars soak it in while you can. Afrah has been marked.

Less annoying for you maybe, . . .

I live in Richardson, explains the rank sent of hair gel, Breck hair color, and fat guy flop sweat that was blowing from the SE that day.

I wonder if Guy's endorsement involve a little payola?

Of course it's less annoying.  It's outside the food nerd defined circle of coolness.

The fact that this mark has white glasses must mean Fieri "saw the light" that this is truly a great place.

I love Afro's and the fine cuisine.  A co-worker that I often went with and has tasted fine cuisine worldwide loves their garlic potatoes with ketchup.  They even had a special squeeze bottle brought to his table every time he dined there.

It is?  Richardson is right in the wheelhouse, especially for East and South Asian, Middle Eastern or East African food.
