Former Top Chef contestant and Marquee Grill chef Tre Wilcox recently revealed his "Guide to the Best Restaurants in Dallas" on Gogobot, a social networking travel site. November is Food Travel Month on the site, where 16 different celebrity chefs share their favorite restaurants in cities across the globe.

Here at home, Wilcox is partial to Malai Kitchen in the West Village and praises the green curry and the cod as his favorite dishes.

Of course, Cane Rosso is on the list. Really though, is there a list Cane Rosso isn't on? Maybe the Pizza Places That Suck list?

Nosh, which will soon open two more locations in the next year, is a "... must for anyone visiting Dallas." Wilcox recommends the tuna tartare, scallops and anything off the daily board.

Tim Byres' Smoke makes the list; Wilcox declares the brunch as one of the best he's ever had. Anywhere.

And Bolsa gets high accolades for bringing the farm to the table in Dallas, in an upscale, refurbished garage with a chill atmosphere.

LDD--Another nice tidbit, thx.  I was driving to Cedars Social on Tuesday and called them up to see if Kyle McClelland had put together his own menu items, but he hasn't so I went somewhere else.  When will Kyle get to put his fingerprints on Cedars Social and maybe he could give you a sneak preview of his plans?

Primi: So, I've asked them several times, "when is the new menu rolling out?" but, they won't really say anything about that. Then, their press release on Monday just had this:

"For The Cedars Social, McClelland plans to implement a more seasonal approach to current menu items and will be adding daily specials to introduce his recipes and creations from his kitchen."

That's all for now. Dang. Thing is, he's been there several weeks now and, so I think the food is different but the same. I'll check back again soon, or head over for a meal.

Does their lack of comment mean there are major creative differences between Kyle and the restaurant?  I like the place and some of the items but they really could use a much better menu.  in some cases their serving sizes are way too small, like the charred octopus and the salumi "platter" (more like a child's bread plate).  Keep up the good work.

Again, thank you.  I am also surprised about the menu.  I can see where you would keep the crowd favorites but there certainly has been enough time to start showing off his own.  And we really are in the middle of the fall season, so if he doesn't do anything soon the seasonal approach isn't going to work, at least not for fall.

I look forward to the fruits of your future investigations.

Methinks if Tre were to milk a cow...as hard as he's milked his five minutes on TopChef..said cow would be dryed up like a prune.

I doubt it is Tre who keeps bringing up Top Chef or choosing to use stock photos of him during the Top Chef days.

What the heck?  Really? LDD is cool....no need for this drivel.  Come on dude; mom is gonna be home soon, and she doesn't want to see her 35 year old, obese, back acne'd  son making sweaty, pig squealing love to a blow up doll named Lola. "Lola in the Box"-how cute?  My advice:

-no more video games-move out now; eff man, grow atleast one nut-shave yer belly-get a life; only lonely pathetic #ssholes post banal crap like this.
