The last thing you ever see at Wild About Harry's. More photos in Patrick's slideshow: the Great Hot Dogs of Dallas
Somewhere between National Hot Dog month, which was July, and our search for authentic carnitas, we decided we wanted to show you the great wieners of Dallas. After snickering like fifth grade boys for about four weeks, we've finally managed to cull together some great shots of Dallas' big hot dog spots.

We employed the excellent photo skills of one Patrick Michels at LA Burger, Chicago Hot Dog, Dog Stop in North Dallas, Angry Dog, Twisted Root, and Wild About Harry's to capture some of Dallas' best hot dogs. This was the result.

Now you know what you're having for lunch today.

Damn, computer's been down for a week so I'm late to the party. Just wanted to say that Last Call (tavern? bar? pub?) over on Lemmon has a mighty fine chi dog...

I thought that Dallas Dog or whatever it was called on Greenville was supposed to be reopening somewhere else. Loved their fries. I've been to Chicago Hot Dog once and I'd probably go again if they had fries, but a bag of potato chips just doesn't do it for me. I gots to have fries.

Anyone know where you can buy a jar of those little Chicago sport peppers?  The ones out of the pepper sauce jar just don't cut it.  Thanking you in advance.

Jimmy's has them, and the green relish too.

You can get all the stuff you need to make Chicago-style hot dogs including the neon green relish, sport peppers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and poppy seed buns at Hirsch's Meat Market in Plano.

Yeah, thats it. I was hankering for a dog last year and saw that they were closed, but the website or Facebook entry or something like that said they were going to re-open somewhere else. As far as I can tell, they never did. :(

Harry's uses Vienna beef but everything else comes from sysco and to get a dog, drink, and fry will cost you more than $10. Plus you'll leave hungry. Go to Old World Sausage Co. in shed #2 of the farmer's market for a better chi-dog experience.
