In-N-Out! In-N-Out! OMG! Will Life Ever Be the Same?

i-n-out metaphor.jpg
How excited are some of our staffers about In-N-Out's imminent arrival? Allow us to illustrate metaphorically.
It's official, In-N-Out Burger has announced that they'll be opening its doors, and drive-thru windows, to the public at both the Frisco and Allen locations this Wednesday. The grand unveiling of the California burger joint is set to commence Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., but according to Carl Van Fleet, the chain's vice president of planning and development, "We will open early if we have customers waiting." Something tells us this will be the case.

Well I have to say, I do think In n Out burgers are very tasty and when I'm headed west I make a point of finding one. I first heard of them in The Big Lebowski which made them pretty cool by association. Anyhow here in Austin we now have 2 Elevation Burger places. They use only grassfed beef and I'm totally happy with that. But if an In n Out opens near me I'll be there.

LOL People the burgers are great yes still bad calorie food but awesome. Are mom and pop shops better, probably depending on which your talking about. WHATS THE HYPE ABOUT? Well they are all over California and now TEXAS gets them dugh! SO get over it and try one.

No overnight live blogging from the line that formed Tuesday in anticipation of this morning's opening? For shame!

As far as Cali burger imports go, the Carl's Jr. burgers are pretty good. I'd rate them a notch above BK and on par with Whataburger.

Really that much better than Five Guys or Mooyah? Looks pretty much the same.

Burger Street has the best fast food burger by far, in my opinion. Hard to believe these will better.

They would have opened faster if they'd have let my company build their restaurants. We've built three other restaurants in the time it took them to build their one location in Frisco. They even brought their contractors from CA. This isn't an investment in Texas, it's an exploitation by hype.

Please stop hyping these burgers! Yes, they are way better than Burger King or McD, but any real burger joint is as good or even much better. There is NOTHING extra-ordinary about their burgers.

So there are also locations slated for the intersection of LBJ and Coit, one in Irving, and one in the ARL?

Holy sheepshit Batman!

As someone said a long time ago around here: If I don't shit gold nuggets after eating there then the bang-to-hype ratio is seriously out of whack.

So, what secret menu item is everyone going to order?

It's called quality control. They also built there own meat processing facilities for that same reason. The sad truth (for you at least) is that their one carefully opened restaurant will make more than your three combined any day of the week.

"I didn't get any money from the deal, so it's all hype! wah wah wah!"

Double-double, animal-style. This is KEY. If you don't say 'animal style', you'll get a kick-ass old fashioned drive-in burger. If you say 'animal-style', you will shit RAINBOWS.

Keep in mind that this is still a fast food hamburger and does not compare to Snuffer's, Jake's, Chip's, etc.

For fast food...I would put it up there with Whataburger. I can't stomach McDonalds and Burger anymore. The food is pretty because it taste fresh! Fries are probably my favorite thing from there

Excuse me. Their own meat processing facilities. Just reading that post made me dumber for a second...

Have you even eaten at those places? To distinguish their burgers from fast food burgers seems kind of ridiculous. Better to say that they serve (kind of) good burgers, too. In any case, it's still JUST A BURGER!
