The Common Table Sets "St. Crafty's Day" Beer Lineup

Live Oak Primus is one of eight specialty beers to be tapped at The Common Table's "St. Crafty's Day."
As far as beer drinking goes, Saint Patrick's Day is generally known more for quantity than quality. And if it's not cheap, domestic and dyed green, chances are it's Guinness, as the historic Dublin brewery makes a huge marketing push each year to capitalize on the holiday.

But Thursday, March 17, The Common Table will tap eight unique beers at its daylong "St. Crafty's Day" celebration -- and refrain from adding food coloring to any of them. Also unusual for a celebration marking the Irish holiday is that none is from the Emerald Isle -- we'd have made a case for Guinness Foreign Extra.

Something tells us, though, that nobody's going to complain about the lack of Guinness, Smithwick's or Harp once they see the lineup.

To be tapped that day:

Live Oak Primus
Stone Vertical Epic
Oskar Blues Ten Fidy Stout Imperial Stout
Brooklyn Blast Imperial IPA
North Coast Old Stock
Great Divide Oak Aged Espresso Yeti
Live Oak Tree Hugger
Brewdog Hardcore IPA

Also, speaking of The Common Table, don't forget about Starkbierfest this weekend. Those who claim both Irish and German ancestry -- or who just like good beer -- have a lot of drinking to do.
