The cause: Speedway Children's Charities and Mario Batali Foundation

Pork, gulf shrimp, or New York cheddar? This week, vote for the secret ingredient for Asphalt Chef. Mario Batali, Guy Fieri and Tim Love pair with their sous chefs, NASCAR champions Jimmie Johnson and Kurt Busch and Foreigner lead singer Kelly Hansen to cook for the title of Asphalt Chef. Cast your vote here.

The cook-off takes place November 6 at the speedway.

On Thursday, El Chico in Denton will donate 10 percent of every food bill to TRAFFICK911. Help them raise money for a safe house for sexually exploited children.

Need a tall drink? Calling all cork dorks, bid on a 3-foot-tall bottle of wine to benefit Make-A-Wish. The only remaining bottle of "Siamo Insieme" is up for on-line auction through October 30. The first 27-liter bottle raised $25,000 for Make-A-Wish.
