Pizza Hut Proves: If You Want the Customer's Trust, Better Get Your Dancing Shoes On

Categories: Food News

The P'Zone is reason enough to be seriously suspicious of Pizza Hut's motives, but the results from survey in The Economic Times of India carried a reminder that the brand we Americans all know as The Hut is the most trusted name in the Indian dining world -- and has been for six years running.

While the locally-based chain feels its way through name changes and surprisingly endearing combination of Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, the last 10 years have seen The Hut grow into a classy-ish sit-down dining spot around the world and, according to the 8,000 folks in India responding to the ACNielsen survey, the brand they'd be most likely to leave with their children. KFC, their sister chain in Dallas-based Yum! Restaurants International, also made the top five.

Here in the U.S. of A., it might be easy to chalk up Pizza Hut's trustworthiness award to soft competition, but the biggest difference between American Pizza Huts and Huts abroad is clear in the video above: the waiters dance.

And not just in India, either. Pizza Hut and dance have thoroughly melted together outside the U.S. -- it's only a matter of time until someone gets around to making Dirty Dancing: Bhangra Crust. Jump for a look at dancing Pizza Hut waiters from around the world.
