Maybe a nice schnitzel?
Sports venues are increasingly relying on celebrity chefs to bring glitz to their concession stands, but the American Airlines Center is trying to strike publicity gold by showcasing one very lucky amateur.

The venue's asking local cooks to create a "signature offering" to be offered for sale at Mavs' and Stars' games. Entry forms must be filed by tomorrow.

Contest organizers will select 20 finalists to compete in a Top Chef-inspired challenge in which they'll be asked to make a dish with a mystery ingredient. Or, as the press release describes it, "Watch chefs as they unpack bags of Central Market food and prepare cuisine in a short amount of time with common ingredients." Five contestants will advance to the final round, preparing their signature dishes for a panel of celebrity judges.

"We are constantly looking for new and exciting signature tastes," Mark Cuban Companies VP Martin Woodall is quoted as saying in a release.

We'll hold the jokes about the taste of post-season victory.
