Sunday's Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven, So... Bring Your Cameras?

"I feel it right inside my head somewhere."

"I feel like I've been shot."

Maybe you already forgot. It's cool -- it's been almost a year. But yeah, this Sunday's another July 11 -- 7/11, right -- so just like last year and the year before that, 7-Eleven is celebrating with free 7.11-ounce Slurpees for everyone.

So what does this mean for you? This may be the excuse you're looking for to go get yourself a Snickers and the latest issue of Mugly? Or maybe it's just the motivation you've been looking for to follow through on that homemade stoner road-trip comedy you've been putting off making. If that's your reaction -- hear "free Slurpees" and you get that old-fashioned urge to storyboard -- rest assured you're not the only one. For years, Free Slurpee Day's been inspiring mini-documentaries from folks with cameras, cars and very little else going on.

They range from instructional -- "How to Make the Proper Slurpee" -- to epics with a series of Slurpee-grabbing across town. The dialogue in most of these might not live up to the standard of, say, Dude, Where's My Car? -- but there's no shortage of true-to-life drama along the way.

"I drove everyone to 7-Eleven and we drank Slurpees and now I regret it...I think I have diabetes," one guy opines numbly in the video above, after he and his two buddies count up the empties stacked in their Slurpee power and reasoned they'd just downed 170.64 slush ounces.

Better yet, after the jump, thrill to the way a brushfire along the highway nearly derails one carful of Slurpee runners' plans to get free drinks and then maybe, uh, go to the mall.

"What do we have to do to do the free Slurpee thing?"

Short and sweet, this is the most respectable way to celebrate the holiday, get your cup, and share a good Free Slurpee Day time.

How not to pour your Slurpee. Don't forget: Slurpee expands in the cup after the pour.

How not to act in a 7-Eleven, ever.
