OK, so this random award statue doesn't say "food." Still, it's kinda funny.
As we approach Independence Day, it's time to start thinking about ways to celebrate America through one of things Americans do best -- eat too much. OpenTable, the online restaurant-reservation website, has stepped up to the plate to make sure no one goes hungry with the annual Top 50 Best Restaurants-American Cuisine awards. This year, four Dallas restaurants -- Abacus, Captial Grille, Fearing's and Hibiscus -- made the alphabetically listed register of dining establishments. The list recognizing restaurants serving first-rate American food was drawn from more than 5 million reviews submitted by OpenTable users who dined at more than 11,000 eateries in all 50 states as well as Washington, D.C. Voting by feedback was held between May 2009 and May 2010.

Do you think the Dallas restaurants named are worthy of their people's choice honor? Should others have been featured.

The complete list can be seen here.
