In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, the day the Mexican army defeated the French at the Battle of Puebla, City of Ate has decided to compile a short list of unusual margaritas that Dallas restaurants have to offer. Sure, we could of went the salsa route, but that doesn't involve alcohol, now does it? Not nearly as fun.

In today's list, we have an Asian-inspired rita, a jumbo brain freeze, and even one that will remind you of your good ol' college days with a jello shot. We do realize there are plenty of places that offer a twist on the traditional Mexican cocktail, but here are just a few suggestions for your viewing, and maybe later sipping, pleasure. No other way to celebrate a battle that was won 148 years ago than drinking liquor and using a sick day on Seis de Mayo.
