Sweets for Your Sweet Tooth: Bread Winners' White Chocolate Berry Cake
| Photos by Sarah Johnson |
We recently decided that Appetite for Instruction needs more sweets in its life. Sure, we've dabbled here and there over the past year in the baking department, but not enough to satisfy our City of Aters who suffer from the incurable sweet tooth.
This where Bread Winners comes in. The three café and bakery locations, in Uptown, Plano and Inwood Village, are known for many things -- their makes-you-want-to-get-up-early weekend brunch, fresh baked goods and catering service, for example -- but let's focus on the baked goods right now, shall we? Their bakery menu offers everything from the chocolate ecstasy torte to homemade Oreo pie to raspberry swirl cheesecake. It was a no-brainer for us to decide this is the place we should feature in our next Appetite for Instruction's sweet treat recipe.
For today's AFI, we have the bakery manager Cara Vasquez demonstrating the white chocolate berry cake. This recipes involves lots of frosting, strawberries, and um, eating.
