Hash Over: Convenience Store Offers Organics, State And Allen Sets New Happy Hours and ZaZa Offers Uptown A Neighborhood Night Out
| We don't normally associate this logo with convenience stores, but Urban Pantry is looking to change that. |
But Urban Pantry isn't where you'll go for a take-out dinner that consists of Doritos and a 40 of Olde English. The store, located at 5301 Alpha Road across from the Galleria mall, specializes in hard-to-find organic and international foods along with groceries and a deli offering specialty breads, cheeses and meats.
If nothing else, it sounds a bit healthier than the Galleria food court.
Also going on this week...
State and Allen Lounge has new happy hour times and prices, offering $3 wells and $2 domestics 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 p.m. to midnight Tuesdays through Saturdays.
Dragonfly at Hotel ZaZa is starting a new "Neighborhood Night" happy hours on Thursdays beginning this week. Beer, wine, well drinks and select appetizers will be $5 from 5 p.m. until close. Depending on your opinion of cover bands, you'll either want to make sure to be there by or depart by 8 p.m., when Reality Bites takes the stage each week. This inaugural Neighborhood Night also includes a silent auction and raffle to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
