Every year people make New Year's resolutions to drop a few pounds, stop dating men who look like Kevin Federline and to take up a new hobby like extreme ironing.

Not me, I like to make my resolutions on my birthday. My own personal new year is the anniversary of the day I was born because it's starting another year of life for me. May not make a lot of sense, but that's just the way this brain of mine works.

With my big day right around the corner, I needed to start thinking of what this year's resolutions would be. Of course, to lose weight is always number one. You know being a single girl and all, self esteem, blah blah blah. That means no more late night fast food runs and ordering enormous amounts of takeout that could feed everyone in my apartment complex. But with all this turning over a new leaf and greasy food talk, my appetite was starting to get the best of me, and my birthday wasn't for another week. I wasn't in the mood for the usual pizza or Chinese options. I needed to spice up my last meal of freedom before it was chicken, fish and greens for awhile.

I decided to get on www.diningin.com to see what they could offer me. The great thing about this website is that they offer a middle man for you and some of your favorite restaurants that don't have a delivery option. Sure it may cost a little more for someone else to go pick up for your food and then deliver it to you, but sometimes it's just worth not leaving your house on a cold night in your slippers and hot pink flamingo pajama bottoms.

The roomie and I finally decided on Qdoba Mexican Grill since neither of us have tried it before and heard great things from our friends. After looking the menu over for what it seemed like forever, I decided on one regular crispy taco and the grilled steak burrito with my roommate going with the grilled vegetable burrito. They also offer five different salsas, and being the hot sauce addict I am, I ordered three of them to try.

After I ordered my food and put in my address and credit card info, the website stated my food would be delivered in an hour. Not too bad considering the poor driver has to make more than one stop. To my surprise the Diningin driver made it to our apartment in 45 minutes. Score!

I grabbed the bags, tipped and ran to the kitchen to tear into everything. At this point I realized a few things, my burrito was the size of a small baby and with each container of salsa you order you get a big bag of chips. For those of you who aren't mathematically inclined, three different salsas equals three big bags of chips.

Looks like I'll be gaining weight before I start losing it.

I started with the taco and the tomato jalapeno hot sauce. Good, just as I expected. Now it was time to conquer the baby-sized grilled steak burrito, and I felt that the habanero salsa was a perfect match for this endeavor. After three huge bites I felt the food coma coming on.

In these situations it's best to put down the food, lay down on the couch and turn the television on immediately. Thank goodness a rerun of The Office was on to save me or I would have been a goner. As for the vegetable burrito, my roommate took one look at it and decided to go run inside.

After two days and three attempts to conquer the burrito monstrosity, I finally managed it. I heard people applauding and The National Anthem playing for my glorious moment. For a moment I expected National Geographic to call. Then I realized a baseball game was on in the living room.

Oh well, I can still pretend it was all for my victory against Qdoba.
