"Not so long ago, Dallas was a culinary wasteland, save for its famous barbecue. But in recent years, celebrity chefs like Nobu Matsuhisa, Tom Colicchio and Charlie Palmer have planted their flags in Dallas, joining a fresh crop of hometown talent." (Luisita Lopez Torregrosa in yesterday's New York Times travel section, clearly believing non-resident names saved us from the likes of, well, Stephan Pyles and others. Amongst the fresh crop of hometown talent, she cites Dean Fearing. Keep it up, Dean--you can apparently still pull off the 20-something look. Obvious flaws aside...since when has Dallas had good barbecue?...well, more from me later today).
